Alpha Plus Training was founded by directors Kate McNairney & Anne Stanton and has offices in Edinburgh and Sussex.
The company has an associateship with Zimmerman Communi-Care Network providing a training service designed to help businesses achieve their full potential. It delivers Scotland's Mental Health First Aid training which is sponsored by the Scottish Executive and endorsed by the Scottish Ambulance Service and NHS Scotland. It also delivers England's Mental Health First Aid Training. Additionally, the company is part of the Vanguard Programme in Scotland, promoting confidence and wellbeing.
Kate McNairney
Until fairly recently Kate McNairney’s professional background lay almost exclusively within the sphere of education. For many years she successfully led and managed staff within a multi disciplinary context and, as such, provided training for staff teams and managers. She worked as a Head Teacher before leaving to become a director of her own training company.

Anne Stanton
Anne Stanton has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry where she was a Senior Manager with responsibilities for managing large specialist teams, delivering bespoke IT systems to specified budgets and timescales. A key part of the role was managing and motivating people to develop high quality, major software applications - often during periods of great change and uncertainty. Upon leaving finance she moved into training to focus on personal and professional development training.

To complement her interest in people development, in her personal life Anne was a Samaritan volunteer for many years, assisting with the training of new volunteers to equip them with the skills needed to deal with callers effectively. She is currently a volunteer mentor for young people with the Prince's Trust , a volunteer mediator for West Sussex Mediation and is an Associate of ZCN (Zimmerman Communi-Care Network.
