Effective communication requires skill. Most company research polls show that improving communication ranks within the top three issues that staff consider in need of improvement.
In this programme, participants will gain valuable insights into the subject and learn to greatly improve their communication skills.

Communication: Sending Skills
The basic principles of communication are established by examining effective and ineffective ways of sending messages. Verbal and non verbal communication is explored in detail in this context.
Communication: Receiving Skills
The importance of ‘listening’ through attitude, impact on people and working relationships is explored through practical exercises and discussion. Participants examine effective receiving skills.
Effective Communication in Challenging Situations
Participants learn how to communicate messages in a non-confrontational manner in areas such as:
- giving constructive criticism
- getting others to keep commitments
- holding others accountable
- taking actions that build trust
